


The settings for Proxy Objects exist in only one location – in the AutoCAD Options, Open and Save tab. Step 2: Have the Civil 3D user save the drawing with Proxy Objects turned on. You may need to upgrade to the latest version of CAD to view these and other Proxy Objects from civil drawings.

If the civil drawing came from a newer version of CAD than you're using, you will likely not be able to view the Proxy Objects in that drawing.
